This policy explains what personal data UCGeo Electronics ("UCGeo", "we") collects through ucgeo.xyz, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Enquiry form. When you submit the form we receive your name, email address, subject, message, and any optional detail you add (enquiry type, estimated annual volume, target market). We ask only for what we need to answer a commercial or technical enquiry.
Browser tools. The NMEA SNR Analyzer and Serial Debug pages run entirely in your browser. Any file you open is read locally and any serial data you capture stays on your device — neither is uploaded to us. The Serial Debug page saves your own tool preferences in your browser's local storage; that data never leaves your machine and is removed when you clear your browser storage.
Server logs. Like any web server, ours records requests (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs to build profiles.
Form delivery. The enquiry form is submitted through Web3Forms, which forwards it to our mailbox as email. Your submission therefore transits and is temporarily stored on their infrastructure before reaching us.
Content delivery. Pages load Tailwind CSS, Font Awesome and Google Fonts from third-party CDNs. Requesting those files discloses your IP address and user agent to the respective providers (including Google Fonts) as part of serving them.
We do not otherwise share your data, except where we are legally required to.
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising services. The only browser storage used anywhere on the site is the local-storage preference described above, on the Serial Debug tool page, and it is not transmitted to us.
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and to maintain a record of the commercial relationship, and are deleted once they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@ucgeo.xyz and we will respond within 30 days.
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the staff who need it in order to respond.
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and move the "last updated" date above.
